Spring Forward to Pump Up Dormant Winter Muscles

It’s Spring Forward time today to adjust clock one-hour forward! If the history is the guide, at least one-third people who made their New Year’s weight-loss resolutions would have quit by now according to a study by the University of Scranton.
“There is always a better way. I have helped countless people lose weight, build muscle and get in shape over the years. People don’t need to struggle their way through the weight-loss journey,” says Carey Yang, a certified persona trainer and fitness expert in New Jersey.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
“Winter weather has been cold and brutal. It becomes a deterrence to many people who vow to eat healthy, exercise more and regularly after the New Year. Inconvenience is another excuse for people to put off their New Year weight loss resolution.” Yang said. “Winter blues doesn’t help either. People tend to move less and eat more.”
Now spring is just around the corner. Weather is getting nicer. Temperature is rising. “It’s definitely a good time to spring-forward or jump-start your weight loss and workout,” Yang said.
Yang offers four strategies to help overweight and obese men and women burn fat 24/7 by optimizing fat burning hormones and elevating metabolism around the clock.
1. Optimized Nutrient Combining: Avoid deadly nutrient combination of carb and fat. Release of insulin and fat promote storage. Do this by simply protein in every meal.
2. Carb Syncing: Prime your body with carb at the right times, in the morning and after intense exercise.
3. Strategic Overfeeding: Restricting calories and dieting put your body to starvation mode and decrease your metabolism to burn less fat. Strategic overfeeding resets your metabolism and keep your fat-burning furnace running again.
4. Metabolic Resistance Training: This type of exercise provides a huge metabolic stimulus to the entire muscular and cardiovascular systems at the same time through strategically designed full body resistance training combined with minimal rest.  This is what allows for an unparalleled exercise-induced increase in metabolism for hours and hours after your session—something we call the “after burn.”
“When you combine the metabolism power of Metabolic Resistance Training with the hormone-regulating power of Optimized Nutrient Timing, Carb Syncing, and Strategic Overfeeding, the only thing your body can do is respond by burning fat 24/7,” Yang says.

Why Working Out with Your Spouse Is Not a Great Idea

Morris County NJ personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang explains why it is a good and bad idea to train together with your spouse if you want to lose weight, get in shape, and improve your communication and relationship.

Newlyweds typically gain 7 to 10 pounds in the first year of marriage according to a study. Other than sharing a house, a bank account and a last name, splitting a kitchen is not always easy.

"I have consulted and trained many couples over the years. By observing their interactions and listening to their conversation about foods, habits and their weights, I can vouch that it ain't a pretty thing," says Carey Yang, a fitness coach, certified personal trainer and owner of Beyond Fitness Solutions in Morris County, NJ.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC -- a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

"Often times I heard from the wives complaining that "my husband is making me fat?" Yang says. "Although wives tend to be the ones who compromise and adopt their husband's less-than-desired eating habits, it's not always the case. Sometimes, wives are the ones engaging in unhealthy emotional eating from stress, boredom and other reasons."

So when is the good time and bad idea for husband and wife train together? Yang has the answers:

- If your daily communication is healthy, training together will uplift you both and motivate you each other. Otherwise, you will put each other down and get worse.

- Additional benefit of training together is that you will usually pay less per person for the same session.

- If one is significantly more fit and stronger than the other, try individual private training first then possibly train together later when your levels of fitness are close enough.

- If the goals of husband and wife are very different (muscle building vs. fat loss), try individual private training. Otherwise, the training routine may not be optimum for both of you and become counter productive.

- If what you like to do is very different, try individual private training. For example, one likes to pump weight for muscle building. The other likes toning exercises, kickboxing, yoga or Pilates.

- If cost of two full private training sessions is a problem, negotiate two shorter training sessions such as 30 or 45 minutes. The trainer is mostly like willing to train two private clients back to back.

- If your respective schedules are out of syn, start with private training separately. Then try to work out a common schedule with the trainer so that you can train together.

- When all fails or in doubt, consult a qualified, certified personal trainer for evaluation.http://www.beyondfitnesssolutions.com/beyondfitness/about/about-carey

Breast Cancer Patients and Survivors Benefit from Strength Training and Cardio Exercises with Sussex County NJ Fitness Trainer

Breast cancer patients and survivors can recover from treatments faster and improve their health by proper strength training and supervised exercises with certified personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang in Morris County, New Jersey.
Diagnosed and treated with breast cancer is a devastating experience. Breast cancer patients and survivors may be feeling down and out. “By proper strength training and supervised exercise with a certified personal trainer, cancer patients can recover faster can cancer survivors can improve their health,” says Carey Yang, Morris County NJ #1 in-home personal trainer.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
Current research provides promising evidence that exercise training is a well-tolerated and safe intervention that can mitigate several common treatment-related side effects, including fatigue, deconditioning, nausea, anxiety, and loss of muscle strength.
Over the past decade, exercise has emerged as an integral aspect of cancer survivorship and preventing or treating the late effects of therapy. Similar to during therapy, clinical trials in this setting have provided strong evidence that exercise is a well-tolerated and safe intervention associated with significant improvements in cardiorespiratory fitness, fatigue, and quality of life in cancer survivors.
Several landmark observational studies have provided the first evidence that regular exercise (such as brisk walking for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week) is associated with 15 percent to 61 percent reductions in the risk of mortality following a diagnosis of early-stage breast or colorectal cancer, relative to survivors who were inactive.
It is becoming increasingly evident that sedentary behavior and decreased exercise levels following a cancer diagnosis can increase treatment-related toxicities, whereas engaging in regular exercise can significantly reduce the incidence and extent of such toxicities.
The field of exercise oncology is rapidly evolving with many unanswered questions. The current evidence base provides a clear indication that exercise is an additional powerful weapon in the fight against, and recovery from, cancer.

Denville, Morris County NJ personal trainer Carey Yang helps busy corporate executives and managers lose weight, stay fit and get in shape with on-site and in-home personal fitness training and coaching services.
In Home Personal Training for Corporate Couch Potatoes
“Don’t have time… too busy…tired all the time… meetings…traveling.. kids…don’t know what to do…don’t know what to eat…I’ve tried everything but they didn’t work, etc. You name it. It’s not your fault,” says Carey Yang, a certified persona trainer and fitness expert in New Jersey.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
“We all are just so busy, work, family, kids, parents, or something, constantly on the go checking text messages, phone messages, and facebook messages. The world around us seems to be getting smaller and smaller. The distance between us seems to be far than ever before although connecting by computer networks,” Yang says.
Yang adds, I have been helping many busy corporate executives, managers and professionals overcome their excuses for not exercising, losing weight and getting in shape. On-site or in-home personal training is the best way to deliver such personal and customized fitness training and nutrition coaching services on demand.
In-home personal trainer travels to the client and trains in a private setting at a time of convenience to client. It saves travel time, excuses for not exercising, and distractions from training in public places. No gym membership is required. Personal training is recommended if you have orthopedic conditions, surgeries, medications, or other medical complication because you can work with a trainer at your fitness level and at your pace.
In-home personal fitness training is also great for stay-at-moms who can’t leave their small children, seniors who are not keen to driving, or people who are intimidated by going the gym.
Accountability and motivation is another plus in-home personal trainers bring to the program. People are all busy and distracted by many things. An in-home personal trainer would coaching, hold your hands through the journey, overcome any obstacles and keep you on track.
Hiring an in-home personal trainer is a significant investment in your health and fitness. By providing personalized programs that are convenient, consistent, and customized to your needs and goals, an in-home personal trainer will ensure that you get the return you are looking for in less time and with less frustration than trying to do it on your own.
“You don’t have to do it alone. In-home personal trainers can help you, support you and train you.” Yang says.

Sussex County NJ Personal Trainer Debunks Myths about Personal Fitness Training and Boot Camp Class

Sussex County NJ-based personal trainer and owner of Beyond Fitness Solutions Carey Yang sets the record straight about personal fitness training compared to group or boot camp style classes in terms of benefits, values, time and cost.
Despite of seemingly popularity of personal fitness training from the Biggest Loser TV show and Hollywood celebrities in recent years, there appears misunderstanding and myths about who a personal trainer is, how personal trainers do their job and get paid, and who a personal trainer is for.
“The most common question is about the rate – how much do you charge?” says Carey Yang, a certified persona trainer and fitness expert in New Jersey.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
“Unfortunately, the answer to this point-blank general question is not as straightforward as you may think as each industry is different in how it works and its pay standard,” Yang says.
Yang adds, I understand that people are shopping around but they tend to compare the wrong things on the wrong basis. I want to the set the record straight about personal fitness training in comparison with group or boot-camp style classes.
Group or boot-camp style classes are held at a certain set schedule in places that you have to travel to. You join 5 to 30+ other people doing similar exercises as a group. You reap the benefits of group dynamics and  team spirit at a lower cost ($15-$25 per hour session). However, you don’t get personalized attention and customized programs for your special needs and schedule. Training may not be as effective (too aggressive or too easy) since you’re mixing with different people of different ages, fitness levels, and goals. Travel time and schedules can become all-too-common excuses for many busy people to slack off.
Personal fitness training refers to one-on-one private training. You get personal attention and a customized training program with a fitness trainer just for you and for your special needs at a convenient time to you. Training can take place in any open space–your home, home gym, club house gym, fitness center or gym–that both of you have access to. Since it’s one-on-one training, you would invest more–typically $55 to $95 per hour session (in Northern NJ areas) depending on your location, training frequency, training program length, pre-negotiated package, and the trainer’s experience.
In-home personal training is particularly attractive and popular since the trainer travels to you and trains with you in a private setting at a time of convenience to you. It saves your travel time, excuses for not exercising, and distractions from training in public places. No gym membership is required. Personal training is recommended if you have orthopedic conditions, surgeries, medications, or other medical complication because you can work with a trainer at your fitness level and at your pace.
An alternative to one-on-one private training is Partner Training or semi-private training where two people train together, share the same session, and share the cost. It may work for some people but not for others, depending on your location, schedules, fitness levels, individual goals, and the trainer’s skills.
In a final word, don’t look at just the per-session cost but rather the “total” time and energy spent to receive effective training results. You have to  evaluate many factors and see which one is best for you and whether you like it or not. The “best” program is  the one that you will do it no matter how “cheap” it is. It’s your body. Don’t cheapen it.

Top 10 Best Diet Foods to Keep You Fit and Trim

Avocados
The cholesterol-lowering monounsaturated fat in these green health bombs can help keep your body strong and pain free. University of Buffalo researchers found that competitive women runners who ate less than 20 percent fat were more likely to suffer injuries than those who consumed at least 31 percent. Peter J. Horvath, Ph.D., a professor at the university, speculates that the problem is linked to extreme low-fat diets, which weaken muscles and joints. "A few slices of avocado a day are a great way to boost fat for women who are fat shy," says Leslie Bonci, R.D., director of sports nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Bananas
Thanks to bananas' high potassium content, peeling one is a speedy solution to that stitch in your side. While a lack of sodium is the main culprit behind muscle cramps, studies show potassium plays a supporting role: You need it to replace sweat losses and help with fluid absorption. Bananas are also packed with energizing carbohydrates. One medium-size fruit has 400 milligrams of potassium and as many carbs (29 grams) as two slices of whole-wheat bread.
Berries
USDA researchers recently placed fresh berries on their list of the 20 foods richest in antioxidants. Just a handful of blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries is an excellent source of these potent nutrients, which protect muscles from free radical damage that might be caused by exercise. Shop for berries by the shade of their skin: The deeper the color, the healthier the fruit.
Carrots
Close your eyes and they almost taste like crunchy candy. Carrots pack complex carbs that provide energy to muscles and potassium to control blood pressure and muscle contractions, says Leslie Bo.
Whole Grain Cereal
Looking for something to nosh before you hit the gym? Raid your cereal stash. The healthiest brands contain endurance-boosting complex carbs and muscle-building protein. Sixty minutes before a workout, fuel up with a 200-calorie snack: ¾ cup of whole-grain cereal with 4 ounces of fat-free milk. "When you eat something before exercising, you have more energy, so you can work out harder and perhaps longer. And you'll be less likely to overeat afterward," says Leslie Bonci, R.D.
Chicken Thighs
Skimp on iron and zinc and your energy will flag. Cooking up some juicy chicken thighs or turkey drumsticks is the best way to get more of both. "Dark-meat poultry is significantly lower in fat than red meat yet has all the iron, zinc, and B vitamins that women need in their diets," says Seattle sports nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D., author of Power Eating.
Hummus
Complex carbohydrates, protein, and unsaturated fats—all the right elements to fuel activity—meet in one healthy little 70-calorie, 3-tablespoon package. Plus, hummus is often made with olive oil, which contains oleic acid—a fat that helps cripple the gene responsible for 20 to 30 percent of breast cancers, according to Northwestern University researchers.
Eggs
Don't skip the yolk. One egg a day supplies 215 milligrams of cholesterol—not enough to push you over the 300-milligram daily cholesterol limit recommended by the American Heart Association. Plus, the yolk is a good source of iron, and it's loaded with lecithin, critical for brain health, says nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D. What does brain power have to do with exercise? Try doing a sun salutation without it.
Chocolate Milk
There's way more to milk than just calcium. In fact, it's a damn near perfect food, giving you a lot of valuable energy while keeping your calorie count low, says nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D. The chocolate kind is loaded with calcium, vitamins, and minerals just like the plain stuff, but new studies confirm that milk with a touch of cocoa is as powerful as commercial recovery drinks at replenishing and repairing muscles.
Salmon
Great for heart health, but here's an added twist: New studies are suggesting that monounsaturated fats and omega-3 fats might help lessen abdominal fat. It's too soon to understand the link, but "this could be particularly good for women working to tone their core," says nutritionist Susan Kleiner, Ph.D.

No B.S. Guide to Summer Fat Loss Diet

Next to the holiday season, summer is by far the season when people want to lose weight, get lean and look good with shirts off by the swimming pool or beach. This can be relatively simple provided you follow a correct fat loss cutting diet.
Here are some of the facts that support fat loss during summer months. You will look good and beach body ready for the swimsuit season.
The heat: Summer is hot and the external heat is a natural thermogenic. People lose fat without any effort just because of the eat.
The sweat: You sweat a lot in summer. This causes you to lose fat along with the sweat you’re losing.
Appetite suppression:   People generally eat a lot during winter and automatically eat less during summer. This is because your body cant digest food too well because of the heat. So you naturally take in lower calories.
So what kind of diet are you supposed to follow to aid fat loss? Here are few simple guidelines for that.
Lose the carbs : Believe it or not its the carbs and not the fats that are responsible for fat gain. Excess carbs are converted to fat upon release of insulin. Reduce carbs to as low as you possibly can.

Former Professional Football Player Trains with Sussex County NJ Best Personal Trainer Carey Yang

I recently have the opportunity to train a former semi-professional football player named Fred. Standing at 6 feet tall and over 300 lbs, Fred looked scary and intimidating to me when I first met him.

As we started to talk about his challenges, I realized that Fred is a good loving husband and father. Busy work and family schedule and prior knee injury were all his excuses for not going to the gym although it's only 2 miles drive across the street.

Lack of motivation is one of the reasons people are turning to personal trainers for help. Fred had made tremendous progress within a month, physically and mentally.

Here is the powerful testimonial from Fred:
My friends and family decided to chip in for my birthday present a personal trainer. As an athletic person entering his 40s, I was confident in the knowledge I had to train myself back into shape. Needless to say that Carey had an immediate impact not only in my weight loss, muscle build and areas worked, but his knowledge on nutrition as well. Carey’s training had me down 2 belt sizes within 3 weeks and ultimately taught me that there is always tons of information to be learned. I have improved my overall health, muscle to fat ratio and well being since I began with Carey. I’m so thankful to my friends and family for this experience, and ultimately to Carey himself. I have my swagger back! — Fred A., Wharton, NJ

Why Cross Training Can Help Lose Fat Faster, Build a stronger, Balanced Body with Less Aches and Pains

Sussex County NJ personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang interviewed on why and how to do cross training to help lose more fat, build a stronger well-conditioned body, heal and prevent injuries.

Carey Yang, Certified Personal Trainer & Fitness Expert

Millions of Americans suffering from overuse injuries from exercises or sports now can learn why they should do cross training and how to do it right with New Jersey celebrity personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

Cross training has been used for years although it’s a relatively new training concept. Athletes have used exercises outside their sports for conditioning due to weather, seasonal change, facility and equipment availability, and injuries. Cross training add many benefits to sports training including injury prevention.

Cross training is one type of training methods used to achieve well-rounded overall conditioning. The exercises are normally very different from what an athlete does in a particular sport. It gives a chance for the muscles, tendons, bones, joints and ligaments to take a break from repetitive use from sport-specific activities. In the meantime, cross training provides complementaryconditioning to balance an athlete. This concept is also very useful for amateur athletes or recreational weekend warriors.

Another benefit of cross training is to help reduce or reverse muscle imbalances in the body. For example, a baseball pitcher may develop an imbalance laterally between the two sides of the body as well as in the should girdle of the throwing arm. After thousands of high-speed forceful throwing, the throwing arm and muscles become stronger but potentially overused and injured. Rotator cuff injuries are very common. Cross training can help balance the strength on both sides. It helps stabilize muscles and realign the body. In addition, since you’re participating in different activities during cross training, it adds variety to your program and reduce chance of burn-out due to boredom.

One caution for cross training is that it doesn’t help develop skills for a specific sport. It isn’t a skill-specific drill. A football player can lift weights or slow-jog 5 miles a day all summer during off season. But he won’t be in great “football shape” when the pre-season starts. By all means, “cross” training should not be used as the sole training program. You still have to start slowly with cross training and increase intensity progressively without getting injured.

There are many ways to apply the concept of cross training to your fitness program, sports or activities all year round. Some examples are listed in the following.

* Aerobic Cross Training I
Use a variety of cardio equipment within one workout session; e.g., ten minutes on the treadmill, ten minutes on the bike, ten minutes on the elliptical machine.

* Aerobic Cross Training II
Use a variety of cardio equipment or modules throughout the week or month; e.g., run 30 minutes on Monday, bike 30 minutes on Wednesday, step class on Friday.

* Mixed Cross Training
Use a variety of activities that emphasizes different body functions and fitness; e.g., total-body weight training on Monday, kickboxing/martial arts on Wednesday, Yoga/Pilates on Friday.

* Cross-Over Training
Use activities that require totally different body functions or energy systems; e.g., A cyclist can do boxing (mainly upper body movements) during off-season so that he can rest his legs (lower body) for a while. Cycling requires more aerobicendurance while boxing demands more anaerobic energy output. Both energy systems are important in overall cardiovascular fitness.

* Seasonal Cross Training
Use or train for different sports or activities over large blocks of time or seasons; e.g., running for Spring, playing golf, tennis or swimming for Summer, outdoor rock-climbing for Fall, skiing or snowboarding for Winter.

* Functional/Complementary Cross Training
Use different activities to train similar function used in the main sport; e.g., Runners may use mountain biking to target the legs from slightly different actions. Cyclists may use cross-country skiing to maintain leg strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Although an advantage of cross training is decreased risk of injury, one still has to start the sports or activities slowly. Don’t fall into the same pitfalls in your main sport. Learn the basics. Perform adequate conditioning exercises in advance. Increase the intensity and duration progressively.

Many sports and activities share the same fitness characteristics of strength, power, speed, agility, endurance, balance, and flexibility. But each sport is still different with somewhat shift in performance requirements. A cyclist certainly doesn’t want to get injured from downhill skiing. In the same token, A football player would be sorry for sitting out on the bench for the season from motorcycle accident.

Baby Boomer Client Feels Rejuvenated, Healthier, Less Back Pain and More Mobility Training with In-Home Personal Trainer

Testimonial from a happy client for Morris County NJ personal trainer Carey Yang.
“I’ve had back problems for the last 5 years that prohibited me from participating in any significant exercise programs. As a result, I had become unmotivated and reluctant to commit (physically or financially) to any type of training. After speaking with Carey, I decided to give it one more try. Carey’s professionalism, knowledge and most importantly, patience – has made my training a positive experience. He was sensitive to my physical challenges, yet consistent in his training and expectations. The progress has been steady and I “honestly” have had less back pain and more mobility than I’ve had in years. Carey has definitely provided a rejuvenation for this baby boomer and I will continue on this path to a healthier lifestyle.”

U.S. Obesity Rate Continues to Climb Alarmingly to 42% by 2030

About 32 million more Americans will become obese by 2030, upping obesity rates to 42 percent of the U.S. population, according to a new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The report also predicts that the proportion of Americans who are severely obese, meaning more than 100 pounds overweight, will reach 11 percent, about double the current rate.
The report’s authors give a sobering price tag for these predictions: such an increase would create $550 billion of obesity-related health care costs.
Eric Finkelstein, one of the authors of the report, said the prospect of such increasing rates, particularly those of severely obese Americans, is alarming since efforts aimed at helping people lose weight have so far proven relatively ineffective.
“Their weight continues to increase. Over the last 10 years, it has gone up tremendously,” he said in a press conference. “This is a group at great risk of health complications, and yet they are increasing at an even greater rate than the rate of obesity.”
The report was published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and was released at the CDC’s Weight of the Nation conference today, a gathering focused on the impact of the obesity epidemic. The authors analyzed data collected from each state and made projections based on a number of factors influencing obesity rates, including the cost of healthy and unhealthy foods, gas prices and Internet access.
“Predicting obesity is tricky and no one variable showed up as causing obesity,” Finkelstein said.
Although recent data suggest that rates of obesity have reached a plateau, current rates of obesity are still alarmingly high. About 34 percent of adults are currently obese, creating a whole host of expensive, chronic health problems, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
The report’s authors said a number of factors could lead to the predicted rise in obesity. About two-thirds of Americans are currently overweight and could continue to gain weight and move into the obese category.
Dr. William Dietz, one of the study’s authors and director of the CDC’s division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity, also noted that children who are currently overweight or obese will likely be a major source of the increasing rates.
“We know that about 50 percent of severe obesity in adults is consequence of obesity in childhood,” he said.
Currently about 17 percent of children and adolescents are obese.
Anti-obesity measures such as better urban design, access to recreational facilities, workplace health promotion and new drugs could help reign in the problem, the authors noted.

Brides-to-Be Embrace Risky K-E Diet for Extreme Weight Loss Before Wedding Day

New Jersey celebrity personal trainer, fitness expert and diet coach Carey Yang scoffs at the recent K-E Diet craze for extreme weight loss as a threat to public health leaving medicine, practice, ethics and greed at the cross roads.

Extreme Weight Loss for Wedding

"Lose 20 pounds in 10 days" is the big promise made by the most recent fad diet called "K-E Diet" or the "feeding-tube diet." The K-E Diet was featured in a New York Times article involving a nasogastric tube inserted through the nose and down into the esophagus for up to 10 days. The diet consists of a slow drip of protein and fat mixed with water, totaling 800 calories per day with no carbohydrates. The 10-day weight loss treatment costs $1500 and can result in the shedding of up to 20 pounds through ketosis, where the body burns fat instead of sugar.

K-E Diet Bridal Feeding Tube

The K-E Diet went viral in the news, TV and social media, particularly in the wedding weight loss industry. "I have many clients and friends asking me about the K-E Diet or extreme wedding weight loss diet," says Carey Yang, a certified personal trainer and fitness expert in New Jersey.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

"Allow me to set the record straight, anyone or anything that promises you to lose 20 pounds in 10 days should raise the big red-flag warning. You should check the FTC rules for claim violations."

Yang says. "After reading the NY Times article, watching TV news coverage, and watching their YouTube video, all I can say is that the doctor and the K-E Diet put the patient's health in danger, dispense distorted health information, misuse nutritional guidance, exploit the brides-to-be's desperate vulnerability for quick weight loss before wedding, and watch their profit before the patient's pocket," Yang says. "This truly put nutrition science, medical practice, ethics and greed at the crossroads."

Some of known and cited side effects of the K-E Diet are constipation, bad breath, dizziness, kidney stones, dehydration, and headaches. “It’s like the Atkins diet on a feeding tube, ” Yang says. "This type of weight loss lunacy gotta stop!" Yang comments.
